OSX Spotlight Does More Than Search

Spotlight is one of the most common, under-utilized functions in OS X. It's primary function is to quickly search your hard drive, email, contacts, browser history and more - all from a single location. Click the magnifying glass in the upper-right to access it and type your search term.
My favorite use: Quick calculations. Click Spotlight and type 5*3 and see what happens
